The Council will be holding an open day in the Town Hall on Thursday 26 May from 10am to 2pm.
It is an opportunity for members of the public to learn more about the council's diverse range of services and find out about current projects. Visitors will be able to check if they're registered to vote in June's EU referendum, provide responses to the dog control consultation and learn about new business funding opportunities, including the recently announced voucher scheme. Staff will be on hand to answer questions and the fire engine will be on show outside the building. Other stands include:
- Council spending and finances
- Update on the waste site redevelopment
- Adult social care and services for carers
- How to keep children, safe, happy and well
- Local Plan update
- Smart Islands
- Active Scilly services and holiday offers
- The latest courses at Lifelong Learning
It's an excellent opportunity to learn more about your Council and how we're working to improve services across Scilly. We look forward to seeing you there!
