The Otillo Swim Run event will be taking place across the islands this Saturday and Sunday (17 to 18 June 2017). A continuous road closure is in place on the Lower Strand between 9am Friday 16 and 12pm Monday 19 June, please visit the following link for more details:

Sections of the racing will take place on some of the St Mary's highway and we would ask drivers, cyclists and pedestrians to be careful when using the roads to allow competitors and all road users to proceed safely. Marshals will be present for some of the event and may need to temporarily close other sections of road for short periods. This includes:
- 10am Saturday morning, the road between Carn Thomas and the Rechabite slip will be closed for a period of around 10 minutes to allow racing to start.
- 11am Sunday morning, the road from Lower Strand, up Garrison Lane and to Star Castle will be closed for around 15 minutes to allow the start of the sprint race.
Good luck to everyone taking part in the event!
