1. What election is taking place?
A UK Parliamentary general election is taking place to elect MPs to the House of Commons. The Isles of Scilly form part of the St Ives constituency.

2. When is it taking place?
Thursday 4 July 2024 (polling hours: 7am-10pm)

3. Who is standing in this election?
The Statement of Persons Nominated will be published here by 4pm on Monday 10 June 2024.

4. When will the result be declared?
The count will take place overnight, immediately after the close of poll.
The result will be declared as soon as possible.

5. Who is the Acting Returning Officer?
The Acting Returning Officer for the St Ives constituency is Kate Kennally, Chief Executive of Cornwall Council. 

6. I would like to stand as a candidate in this election. What should I do?
Please contact the elections team at Cornwall Council as soon as possible. You can reach them on 0300 1231 115 or at voter-registration@cornwall.gov.uk.
The deadline for the delivery of candidate nomination papers is 4pm on Friday 7 June 2024.
Candidate nomination papers must be hand delivered to an address on the mainland.
