Maintenance & Repair Operative

 A new exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Operational Services team in a front facing, dynamic role that directly contributes to quality of life on the islands. 

The successful applicant will apply their general maintenance and repair skills to a wide variety of tasks that ensure the upkeep and continuous operation of Council's infrastructure and assets: Highways, open spaces and public realm, wastewater infrastructure, corporate property and housing.

The role is diverse, with opportunities to gain formal qualifications and includes working with other council teams to support the wide range of services delivered to the community.
