A day spent investigating how to turn your travel experiences into sparkling prose. The ability to convey a sense of place and time in writing is an essential tool in the writer’s toolbox, whether in fiction, memoir or journalism. You will hear examples of travel writing though the ages and undertake exercises to put what you have learned into practice. One exercise will involve a short walk on St Marys.
