Members of our Adult Social Care team will be in the Wesleyan Chapel between 6pm and 7pm on Thursday 26 June 2025 to chat to anyone who may be interested in working in Adult Social Care on the Isles of Scilly, either now or in the future. We’re looking for people who may be interested in a range of roles within our social care services, so this is a good opportunity to find out more about what the Council can offer, in an informal setting.
We particularly want to speak to anyone who thinks they could provide private care to people in their own homes. Providing private care can be extremely rewarding work and is a service which is highly valued by both the Council and the community, as it gives residents the support they need to live independently in their own homes for longer. It’s an opportunity to be self-employed and work anywhere across the islands whilst enjoying flexible working patterns and learning transferable skills.
We provide full training for any successful candidates for social work roles, so if working in social care sounds like something which may suit you or someone you know, please don’t hesitate to spread the word and come along to our session on Thursday, or get in touch with the Adult Social Care team by emailing asc@scilly.gov.uk or calling 01720 424470.
A list of all of the vacancies the Council currently has available can be found on the jobs page of our website. We encourage everyone to check this page regularly to keep up to date with the latest opportunities.
