Transport Access People (TAP) is community transport that provides a safely co-ordinated, cost effective community transport system throughout Cornwall, Devon and the Isles of Scilly. TAP(Transport Access People) is a subsidiary of Age UK & Isles of Scilly. They arrange transport for people who have non-emergency healthcare appointments and have difficulty accessing other forms of public transport. They offer a special dial-a-ride service on St Mary's.
For people over the age of 60 or with mobility problems, and are permanent residents of St Mary's, St Agnes, St Martin's, Tresco and Bryher, the service is available for transport around St Mary's. Passengers wishing to use the electric minibus service can call and register on the number below.
The bus, which has wheelchair access, can be used for journeys to health appointments, the library, Queen Elizabeth II Community Sports Hall, Normandy Swimming Pool, Memory Café, visiting friends and family, shopping, collecting prescription medicines and more.
The Buzza Bus operates a pre-booked door to door service and passengers from other islands can travel from the quay to wherever they would like to go on St. Mary's. For each one-way trip, there will be a small charge of £1.50 per person.
