Notice is hereby given that a casual vacancy exists in the office of Councillor for the St Mary’s parish of the Council of the Isles of Scilly.
The casual vacancy has arisen as a result of the resignation of Anita Bedford.
In accordance with section 89(3) of the Local Government Act 1972, a by-election will not be held to fill the vacancy as Mrs Bedford was due to retire as Councillor in less than six months. The seat will instead be filled at the scheduled local election on 1 May 2025.
