Highway Closure Process
To apply for a road closure please see the Highway Closure Application Form to the right of this page. This form should be completed by anyone who would like to apply for permission to close the highway. You must allow at least 2 weeks if you are planning on a partial closure and 12 weeks if you are planning on a full road closure, (closure of the entire width of the road,) as a temporary traffic prohibition/restriction order will be required. Please return your completed form to environment@scilly.gov.uk or drop into the Library on St Marys. Please retain a copy for your records.
Please note the Council of the Isles of Scilly is not responsible for private roads. A highway closure form needs only to be filled when it affects a publicly maintained road.
