Local Plan Review - Scoping Report Public Consultation
First Stage (Regulation 18 Consultation) 2015
Our first public consultation on the Local Plan Review took place in the summber of 2015. We wrote to all residents about the public consultation and published the ‘Local Plan Review: Scoping Report’ setting out our intention to progress a new local plan and public consultation. The consultation on this took place during the summer of 2015 and ran for 7 weeks:
from the 8th June 2015 until to the 24th July 2015 and included a week of Drop-In sessions across all of the inhabited islands.
The documents being consulted on included:
Local Plan Review - Scoping Report
Local Plan Review - Sustainability Appraisal
Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) 2015
As the Sustainability Appraisal of the Local Plan Review - Scoping Report was not complete in time for the Summer 2015 public consultation, this took place in November and more details of this consultation can be found on the Sustainability Appraisal Page in this link. Reference to this consultation has been consolidated on to this page to make its connection to this first stage of public consultation clear.
We had an excellent response to the Local Plan Reivew consultation. Around 117 people turned out to speak to us at our drop-in sessions and we received 80 written responses. A summary of the consultation and what you told us can be found in the link to the right Summary Of Responses this also includes the Officer responses to these comments.
As a result of the consultation on the Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) 2015, this document was taken forward and adopted by the Council of the Isles of Scilly in September 2015.
We’d like to thank the community for excellent engagement in the review process so far and we look forward to talking to you again during the next stage of the process.
